Porto Santo is a small island paradise: fine golden sand, turquoise-blue waters, and a particularly diverse marine fauna. Therefore, diving in Porto Santo offers all the necessary conditions for one of the richest experiences in the world.

Thanks to the clarity of the waters surrounding the island, visibility conditions are considered excellent up to about 40 meters deep. As such, diving in Porto Santo is ideal for marveling at the power of the rock formations and the vibrancy of the biodiversity found here. Groupers, dogfish, bogue, conger eels, and moray eels are just a few of the species you’ll encounter in the dynamic (yet peaceful) life that unfolds beneath the surface.

Localizada na Ilha do Porto Santo, a Cipreia Porto Santo é a escolha perfeita para as suas férias. Nas instalações do Vila Baleira Resort Porto Santo, o nosso centro está localizado junto às piscinas, onde poderá usufruir:

  • Access to outdoor tables for equipment setup.

  • Removable racks for placing and air-drying equipment.
  • Reserved space for personal belongings inside the center.

Boat

We have one rigid-hulled inflatable boat:
  • BIG BLUE, with a length of 7.5 meters.
  • Honda 250HP outboard motor.
  • Capacity for 14 people.
  • 1 side ladder.

Discover the Underwater Treasures of Porto santo!

In Funchal, you will find two ships deliberately sunk at a depth of about 30 meters to serve as artificial reefs. We’re talking about the “Madeirense,” which was sunk in 2000, and the “Corveta General Pereira d’Eça,” a Portuguese Navy warship sunk in 2016.

Today, these ships are a safe home to a vast marine fauna that you can encounter during an unforgettable diving experience in Porto Santo. Porto Santo hosted the Underwater Photography and Video World Championship in 2021 and has previously been the host for both National and European Championships.
